Преступность в Мюнстере в XVII в.

В статье на основе анализа сохранившихся материалов судебно-следственных дел рассматривается состояние преступности в Мюнстере XVII в. Автор анализирует структуру преступности в зависимости от степени распространенности деяний в судебной практике, а также исследует социально-профессиональный состав преступников.

Флотилия эсминцев флота Испанской Республики: организация, корабли и экипажи

Цель исследования – изучить особенности организации миноносных сил флота Испанской Республики, проанализировать уровень подготовки экипажей республиканских эсминцев, определить, насколько тактико-технические характеристики и техническое состояние республиканских эсминцев соответствовали, стоявшим перед ними задачами. Научная новизна исследования заключается в комплексном анализе состава и особенностей организации флотилии эсминцев флота республиканской Испании.

Holidays and Everyday Life of «the Great Mogul» through the Eyes of the First English Travellers (late XVI – early XVII Centurie)

This article analyse the portrayal of Eastern ruler as ‘another’ culture by English travellers. The endeavour was to show what were early modern English perceptions of a way of life of the Emperor Jahangir. During the first period of English commercial presence in India, the figuration of a culture was represented by its ruler. This practice homogenized and simplified a culture, making it more easily knowable and thus inferior. In the English travel writing of East, a ruler quickly becomes the focus of the civilized/barbaric binary.

Studying the problem of memoria and res publica in a modern historiography includes the investigation of a funeral procession. In the works analysed in this article historians differently consider the priority of functions of historical memory in respect to pompa funebris: K.-I. Hölkeskamp singles out the communicative one, E. Flaig – the proving one, and U. Walter – both of them. E. Flaig’s pays more attention comparing with the other authors to the educational function as well.

Global labor migration is the principal tendency of the current economic development. It is conditioned by the fact that in the age of globalization, the specialization of labor is assuming a transnational character. Labor migration is clause and sequence of the global world trade system.

American Domestic Information Campaigns, 1946–1950

One of the controversial issues in the American cold war studies still remains problem of public opinion importance for the government in its foreign policies making. Historians try to seek answer on the question: was it really so important for the American government to have people’s support of its foreign policy or it was just trying to have good image of themselves in public opinion, or may be something else? The author of this article makes an attempt to answer this question through domestic information campaigns of 1946-1950 analysis.
