Pioneer literature of the 1920s as an educational practice of the soviet Government

The article analyzes the literature of the pioneer organization in order to display the basic principles of the state educational policy for children in the 1920s. The main types of pioneer literature of the 1920s are considered: organizational documentation, in particular, the Charter of the pioneer organization, periodicals, fiction, pioneer folklore(chants, songs, etc.).

Government and agricultural cooperation in Russia at the beginning of the XX century

The article examinesthe relationship between government and agricultural cooperation in Russia. First of all,the oppressive activities of the central office, which was represented by various ministries and departments, as well as the activities of the local administration, represented by the Institute of governors, provincial committees on small loans, inspections of small loans at local branches of the State Bank, zemstvo chiefs, and the police are being investigated.

Dmitrii Alekseevich Miliutin – One of the Founders of the Russian Military Statistics

The article is dedicated to a prominent military figure, a scientist, a future reformer of the armed forces of the Russian Empire, who laid the theoretical foundations of a new military science – military statistics. This science contained a variety of information about states, their territories, population, political structure, industrial potential and armed forces.

New data about Novgorod resident Ivan Shusherin the author of the biography of Patriarch Nikon

The article deals with the biography of Ivan Shusherin, the author of the “Life” of Patriarch Nikon. Based on new archival data, it was established the previously unknown circumstances of Ivan Shusherin’s ten-year stay in exile in Novgorod and his own letters, written in extremely beautiful handwriting are discovered. Analysis of the text of the “Life” allowed the author to clarify the dating of the “Life” and the intent of this work – the most important source on the history of the Russian church in the second half of the 17th century.

Контрразведка штаба 12-й армии в Первой мировой войне (1915-1917 гг.)

Рассматривается малоизвестная история контрразведывательного от-деления штаба 12-й армии сквозь призму деятельности двух инструментов противодействия шпионажу – филерского отряда и секретных сотрудников. С опорой на введенные в научный оборот незнакомые архивные документы (переписка контр-разведки с жандармскими управлениями, приказы по 12-й армии, сведения на лиц, заподозренных в военном шпионстве, рапорта о задержании шпионов, списки аген-тов и др.) делается вывод о неудовлетворительных результатах работы армейской контрразведки.

В статье рассматривается деятельность местных жандармских органов Привислинского края Российской империи в 1870-1890-х гг. Перечисляется комплекс полицейско-политических мер, взятых в дальнейшем на вооружение органами исполнительной власти в деле обеспечения государственной и общественной безопасности на западных окраинах империи.

В статье рассматривается деятельность местных жандармских органов Привислинского края Российской империи в 1870-1890-х гг. The phenomenon of collaborationism in the territories of the USSR occupied by Nazi Germany (1941–1944): Points of view and assessment in historiography

An extensive domestic and foreign historiography has been created on the topic of collaborationism and related problems. The purpose of this work is to consider the phenomenon of collaborationism and the forms of its manifestation in the temporarily occupied territories of the southern regions of Russia, the Crimea, the North Caucasus, to compare the approaches of researchers in understanding its essence, forms and scales.

Leningrad in the structure of scientific and technical cooperation between the Soviet Union and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 1976–1983

The article analyzes the role of Leningrad in the structure of scientific and technical cooperation between the USSR and SRV in 1976– 1983 on the basis of archival data. The author comes to a conclusion about high quality results of Leningrad institutions collaborating with SRV, successes of Leningrad leadership in cooperation with regions of Vietnam, involvement of most large industrial enterprises, leading higher educational institutions, design and research organizations of the city in scientific and technical cooperation between the USSR and SRV. 

Combat equipment of the South Russian Organization of “People’s Will” in 1885–1886

During 1885, the South Russian organization of “People’s Will” by the leadership of B. D. Orzhikh created its own bombs set and provided their storage. These bombs were create for demoralization of the tsarist government. Because of objective reasons caused by recovery of weakened party, the southern revolutionaries did not have time to start the full realization of their plans about bombs using. In reality, the main work focused on the consolidation of revolutionary forces and propaganda activities until the liquidation of the group during 1886–1887. The group of B.
