Политика правительства России по отношению к армянам в конце XIX-нач ХХ ВВ.

В статье рассматриваются проблемы взаимоотношений русского правительства с Армянской Апостольской Церковью в конце XIX нач. ХХ вв. Рассматриваются принятие закона от 12 июня 1903 года князя Г.С. Голицына об изъятии церковного имущества ААЦ. Прослеживается негативное последствие этого закона на дела армянской церкви в г.Нахичевани-на-Дону, последовавшие за этим проблемы в церковно-приходских школах.

Калмыцкий национальный район и проблема выбора его административного центра

Настоящая статья посвящена образованию Калмыцкого национального района на Дону и проблеме определения его административного центра на рубеже 1920–30-х годах. Автор, отмечая положительные явления, которые происходили в жизни донских калмыков в составе национального района (образование, сохранение национального самосознания), обращает внимание на искусственный характер создания этого национального района в условиях отсутствия компактного проживания донских калмыков.

Visual forms of politics of memory in the Turkic Republics of Russia in the 2010s and early 2020s

The purpose of the article is to study historical politics as politics of memory in the modern Turkic republics of the Volga region in contexts of visualization of memory by means of cinematography. The author analyzes the role of the politics of memory in the formation of the memorial canon as a form of development of national identities in Tatarstan, Bashkortostan and Chuvashia. Methodologically, the article is based on the principles proposed in the memorial turn and the analysis of the politics of memory in intellectual history and the history of ideas.

The failure to create a consumer society in the USSR (1953–1985) as one of the factors of the collapse of a single state

The article analyzes the stages of the formation of consumer society in the USSR in 1953–1985. The main directions of the social policy of the Soviet state to meet the material needs of the Soviet population are considered. The conclusion is made about the growing contradictions between the consumer aspirations of the masses and the limited capabilities of the Soviet economy as the reason for the collapse of the unified Soviet Union.

The influence of the Stolypin agrarian reform on the development of agricultural cooperation in Russia (1906–1914)

The article examines the impact of the agrarian reform of P. A. Stolypin on the development of agricultural cooperation in Russia in the conditions of market relations. Without pretending in one article to give answers to all the main questions of assessing the impact of the reform on agricultural cooperation, let us dwell on some factors that either were not taken into account by the authors or remain misunderstood, which diminishes the significance of the reform.

The image of the lawyer of late Imperial Russia in Russian literature (based on the works of Maxim Gorky “Mother” and “The Life of Klim Samgin”)

The article explores various interpretations of the image of a lawyer in the works of art of late Imperial Russia. As examples of artistic interpretation when creating the image of a sworn attorney at the beginning of the XX century, the author chose the works of A. M. Gorky “Mother” and “The Life of Klim Samgin”. In the course of a comparative analysis of the texts of these works of art, as well as sources of personal origin of lawyers N. K. Muravyov and V. A.

Visual representation of Russia’s liberation war in the Balkans in the magazine graphics of the 1870s

The article is devoted to the visual representation of the foreign policy goals and national interests of Russia on the eve and during the Russian-Turkish war of 1877–1878. The author analyzes the historical context of graphics works in Russian illustrated magazines of the 1870s. The article reveals the historical and cultural features of the formation of the concept of Russia’s liberation war in the Balkans by means of magazine graphics.

N. G. Chernyshevsky’s survey reviews on historical and geographical works of A. S. Norov

A wide range of diverse works represents the scientific, journalistic and literary heritage of N. G. Chernyshevsky. Reviews and surveys of historical works occupy a prominent place among them. The paper attempts to analyse two such surveys on the historical studies of the Minister of Public Education A. S. Norov. The author of the paper concludes that N. G. Chernyshevsky thoroughly reviewed his scientific publications showing a deep knowledge of the issues presented there. N. G. Chernyshevsky’s analytical reviews can be considered as some addition to the problems of A.

V. A. Perovsky’s campaign to the Ak Mosque in 1853

This article focuses on the military expedition of Orenburg and Samara Governor-General V. A. Perovsky against important Kokand fortress AK-Mosque that stood by the river Syrdarya in 1853, which resulted in the capture of the Kokand fortresses and the stabilization of the situation in the Central Asian caravan routes in the middle of the XIX century.
