Great Patriotic War

The article analyzes the specifics of the functioning of the financial system of Kuzbass during the Great Patriotic War. Based on archival data, the conditions for planning the regional budget are considered, initially within the borders of Novosibirsk, and after 26 January 1943 – within the borders of the newly formed Kemerovo region. A comparative analysis of the economic development of Kuzbass with other regions of the country allocated during wartime is carried out.

The aim of the research is to study the creative achievements of Moscow architects during the Great Patriotic War. Moscow architects made an invaluable contribution to military-defense construction, the construction of numerous evacuated and new industrial enterprises in the east of the country, and the restoration of cities destroyed by the war. 

The editorial board of the journal in this article refers to an important event in the history of Saratov University – the 90th anniversary of the opening of the Faculty of History, which became the third Faculty of History in the RSFSR. The circumstances of the establishment of the faculty, the beginning and main stages of its activity are considered. The contribution to the training of specialists with higher historical education, the most important scientific achievements and the role of leading scientists are shown. 

The article presents a general picture of the involvement of human contingents from the Saratov region to recruit the Armed Forces of the USSR on the eve and during the Great Patriotic War. The article highlights in detail the conduct of three waves of the so-called general mobilization of the military in 1941, subsequent party-komsomol and other special mobilizations, as well as the regular conscription of recruits in 1942–1945. The role of the training of military-trained reserves through Vsevobuch, the people’s militia and defense organizations is shown.

The article analyzesthe activities ofthe Suzdal, Vladimir and Kirzhach prison camps ofthe Directorate for Prisoners of War and Internees (UPVI) – the Main Directorate for Prisoners of War and Internees (GUPVI) of the People’s Commissariat of Internal Affairs (NKVD) of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), special hospital No. 2989 and separate working battalions No. 340 and 413 of the Ministry of the Armed Forces (MVS) of the USSR, operating on Vladimir land in 1940–1949. The categories and national composition of prisoners of war are traced.

The paper examines the process of evacuation of industrial facilities and civilian population to the territory of the Kemerovo region – Kuzbass during the Great Patriotic War. The author provides information on the number of evacuated enterprises, and also clarifies their locations before and after the relocation. The largest industrial facilities in Kuzbass are highlighted, which were created even before the start of the war and were industrial sites for the commissioning of equipment from arriving factories.

The article is devoted to Navy aviation before the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. The particular attention in the material is paid to the air forces of the baltic Fleet

In the article is considered the development of the military production and others branchs of the Saratov`s industry at the years of the Great Patriotic War, that were presented the interrelated defence-industry complex. It is described the process of his establishment, compo- nents, the type of the problems, being solved and totals of the activity.

In the article, the state and development of broadcasting in Udmurtia in the period of the Great Patriotic War is analyzed. Special attention is paid to personnel structure of the Udmurt ASSR broadcasting in the years of war. Large-scale work on expansion of local broadcasting activity is explained by the attention the Central Committee of the All- Union Communist Party (bolsheviks) paid to broadcasting as one of the most important means of ideological and political education and propaganda of workers.

The article substantiates the necessity and possibility of wide attraction of money of the population during the Great Patriotic War, due to which the revenue part of the state budget and inflation control were largely provided. The regional practice of implementation in 1941–1945 of tax policy of the state, mobilization of means of workers through acquisition of bonds of loans, monetary and ware lotteries, placement of deposits in savings banks, and also mass national movement on creation of Fund of defense is analyzed.
