Historical and Cultural Heritage of Borisoglebsk District of Tambov Province in XIXth Century
The article represents some features of objects of the historical and cultural heritage in Borisoglebsk district of Tambov губернии in 19th century. Borisoglebsk is the second largest in its social-economic and cultural level city in Voronezh region. It is a real city-reserve, counting more than hundreds of historian-cultural and architectural monuments which saved elements of the decorative interior of 19th century. The architectural outlook of the city has been created on base of the published source books on history and archive materials. The characteristics of religious, public, cultural architectural monuments (churches, educational and administrative facilities) performed in baroque, classicism and eclectic style are given here. Borisoglebsk’s urban development and architectural features allow showing the process of the formation of a typical Russian trade-merchant’s city with developed educational and cultural level.
