The article is devoted to the problem of the formation of the image of the Catholic enemy, one of the prototypes for which was William Parry. Based on the original materials, the author shows the Elizabethan government’s use of William Parry’s affiliation to Catholicism in the fight against the Queen’s detractors. It is concluded that, using the example of the failed conspiracy of William Parry, government propaganda of the 1580s demonstrated the immorality and lowliness of the spiritual principles of state traitors as a special social group.

The subject field of the article is the historical-imagological spectrum and comparative perspective. The main actors that influenced the dynamics of the representation of the enemy/other image in the political discourse of the Cold War are investigated. The main type of sources were journalistic materials presented by Soviet and American literature of various levels, from newspaper publications to voluminous popular science publications.

The article focuses on the comparative analysis of the image of the enemy in propaganda of the countries of Entente at the beginning of the First World War. On the basis of the wide range of primary sources the key elements of this image, certain stages in its development, its common and distinguishing features in each of the countries of Entente are examined.

Attitude of Tatars of the Kazan province which breaks up to a number of segments, wasn't exposed to the careful analysis from historical community. Long time the Tatar political discourse associated with Muslim, despite that these concepts far aren't equivalent. In article attempt of reconstruction of an image of war and the enemy in public consciousness of Muslim Tatars of the Kazan province in 1914-1915 is undertaken.

В статье рассматривается структура и источники образа Республики Молдова как врага, создаваемого исторической традицией непризнанной Приднестровской Молдавской Республики. Особое внимание уделяется изображению основных групп молдавского общества, несущих, по утверждениям ПМР, вину за межнациональный конфликт в Молдавии, а также бинарным оппозициям обществ РМ и ПМР, конструируемым приднестровской идеологией.
