Саратовская городская дума

Research is devoted to development of municipal system of an elementary education in Saratov per 1871–1917. The author cites data about number of city elementary schools, quantity of pupils, school premises, structure of the teacher’s personnel, etc. Also in clause activity of the Saratov city duma and also its some members, in sphere of an elementary education is considered.

Research is devoted to the credit institutions existed in Saratov in the late XIX – early XX century and was in charge of the Saratov city duma: to public bank, а pawnshop and a city credit association. The author cites the basic and economic development of the city. Credit institutions are considered as the importans component of a municipal system of Saratov in this period.

The article is devoted to the financial activity of the Saratov City Duma in 1839–70. The city budget, structure of income and expenses are analyzed. The author identifies the main sources of cash receipts and the course of spending. Also he explores the peculiar relationship of the municipality and the state in this area.
