Imaginary or Real Necessity of War with Ottoman Empire per 1877–1878? (on materials of sources of a personal origin)

Clause is devoted to analysis of the various points of view on necessity of war with Turkey, and also critical estimations of Russian army and readness of Russia for operations. The author consides positions of various representatives of Russian society – historians D.I. Ilovajskogo, M.P. Dragomanova; the representative of high society of prince V.P. Meshcherskogo.

Participation of the UK in the military operation in Ukraine in 2022

The article analyzes the role and place of Great Britain in the preparation of the military conflict in Ukraine, as well as the formation of the terrorist concept of warfare led by the Ukrainian army and special services. Both direct and indirect participation of British military structures in combat actions against the Russian armed forces in 2022 is examined. The article outlines the supplies of weapons and military equipment to Ukraine by the UK, the forms and directions of training of the Ukrainian “proxy army” by British military instructors.

Eugene Tour – a memoirist of the Russo-Turkish war of 1877–1878

The article deals with the memorial heritage of the Russian writer and journalist E. V. Salias de Tournemire. Her memories are devoted to a significant event of the XIX century. - Russo-Turkish war of 1877–1878. The author analyzes the views of the memoirist concerning the causes and course of hostilities with the Ottoman Empire, shows the impact of public forces in the country's foreign policy.

This article analyzes the publication of the newspaper "Saratov data sheet" during the Russian-Turkish war of 1877-1878. The author comes to a conclusion about the specifics reflect events in the regional press. The ideas of the Saratov society on the causes of the national liberation movement in the Balkans and Russia's war with the Ottoman Empire

Socio-psychological Factors of Perception in the Soldier Environment of Revolutionary Events of 1917 (According to the Materials of the Saratov Province)

The article analyzes the vicissitudes of revolutionary events in Russia through the prism of socio-cultural and socio-psychological dynamics of provincial society. The author’s research perspective is aimed at studying the mood of the soldiers ‘masses during the political crisis of 1917. The Author comes to the conclusion that the soldiers’ garrisons located in the largest cities of the country were mostly not ready to accept and support the democratic transformations of the new government.
